I stumbled across this entrepreneur success video on facebook. Check it out.
I started my company in May 2007. Let me tell you… running a small business is no joke. If you landed on this post today, I don’t believe it’s a coincidence. I actually prayed that God would send the right people to this page… at the right time… so you could get the motivation/assistance you need for whatever situation you’re currently facing. (Yes… even if it’s 2 years, 3 months, and 15 days later – September 16, 2012). If you’re in a tight spot, I encourage you to watch this video multiple times.
What Drives Me Toward Entrepreneur Success?
I wanted entrepreneur success for two primary reasons. One on hand… it’s a means to earn an honest income. At the same time, I love marketing and helping others become more productive.
When I got into this industry in 2005, I found a lot of small business owners struggling to make payroll because they didn’t know how to market themselves. It wasn’t that they weren’t good at what they did. Some were never taught the critical skill of self-promotion.
One thing’s for certain… you can be the best caterer, massage therapist, real estate agent, or other service professional. If no one knows about you, or the value you deliver… being the best is not enough.
Over the last three years… I’ve come to know that God is using this business as a means to build His character in me. The income is a by-product.
Why am I saying this? Because I regularly talk to small business owners chasing entreprenuer success – desperate for ways to make it – but they’re focusing on the wrong thing. I’ve been guilty of it myself. I’m finding more success as I do two things. One - getting more aggressive about setting quality appointments. Two — perfecting how I communicate my value proposition.
Eric is right about the need to “want it bad enough”. We all know people who’ve worked 80 or 90 hours, stayed up all-night, but still failed to cover their expenses. Why? Because they were working hard, but going in the wrong direction. If you drive 95 mph headed south (when you should be headed north or west), you just get to the wrong place faster. Hard work has to be married to the right approach.
Here’s what’s important:
OFFER A VALUE CUSTOMERS WANT + ASSET MARKETING = BOOSTED SALES IN ANY ECONOMY
Here’s a thought, pursuing entrepreneur success just ‘might’ have more in store for you than you EVER imagined. Tens of thousands of small business owners are stressed out and filing bankruptcies often because they don’t know how to generate enough qualified leads in this wobbly economy.
Don’t be scared. Embrace the entrepreneur success challenge.
Conquering your small business mountain might be your best opportunity to maximize your potential! Really. I say that because it reflects the following statement,
“The highest reward for a person’s toil is not what they get for it, but what they become by it.” — John Ruskin
Even though we’ve never met, here are a few things I know about you.
Characteristics of Those Pursuing Entrepreneur Success
If you landed on this blog… and you’re still reading… there is a drive in you to succeed in a big way. You’re a dreamer. You want the truth instead of being lied to… even when it hurts. You may not know what to do next, but you’re committed to the process because you’re a winner at heart.
You’re probably somewhat of a MISFIT. You’re like the square peg in a world of round holes. You may have some fears, but you take steps toward your dream and hope for the best. Even when you get to your lowest point… something in you won’t let you quit.
Is this ringing true? If so… I want to congratulate you for following your dreams. Why? Because it takes a person of notable character to step out of the boat and follow the dream of entrepreneur success. We’re socialized in a lot of ways to blend in… not to stand out. It takes more strength to stand apart from the crowd and follow the beat of a different drummer.
I don’t know what God’s perfect will is for you. However, I do know He’s given each of us the ability to shine with our gifts, talents, and abilities. I also know He expects us to be faithful with what He’s entrusted to us. Are you ready to be fruitful according to His plan and ultimate purpose? If so… then I encourage you to ask Him for help today. Our faith in His divine empowerment is indispensible on this journey.
If you have a prayer request, you can send them to me, and I’ll pray for you personally. That email address is ramon (AT) embracingdestiny.org. Your request could be business or personal. This is the first time I’m making this offer because I’ve had multiple conversations where numbers of people are working under a staggering load of pressure. I’m committed to helping you fulfill your destiny.
Today… I wanted to offer some REAL TALK about my journey, and a motivational video on what it takes to achieve entrepreneur success.
If you’re an A-level service provider, you need cutting edge marketing in order to build a following, and generate revenue. If you’re not getting the return on investment that you think you deserve, you should get a fresh perspective on your marketing assets. My marketing audit is designed to uncover money you may be leaving on the table. In the process, I’ll give you actionable ideas you can immediately implement to generate additional revenue.
In my next post, I’m going to have an interview I did last week with a leading marketing consultant who tells how a struggling company became an entrepreneur success story. They achieved a 358% gain in 60 days by tweaking their marketing strategy.
If you have thoughts on this post, I’d love to hear them. Tell me, what’s your biggest marketing challenge right now?
I pray that you continue to pursue and achieve entrepreneur success!
